On July 13, 2026, the Advancing Youth Voice Initiative hosts the Global Youth Forum at the UN High-Level Political Forum in New York, and the global launch of both AYVI Network and the African Youth Leadership Fund.
Four and a half years ago, the Advancing Youth Voice Initiative started with a question. Not a grant. Not a mandate from an international body. A question that the Founder and her dedicated volunteers asked young Nigerians
directly:
"What do you actually need?"

What came back was not a list of workshops or beneficiary programs. It was a demand to be treated as leaders in formation. That answer became the foundation of everything AYVI has built since.
On July 13, 2026, that work arrives on the world stage.
AYVI Network will host the Global Youth Forum, an official Side Event at the UN High-Level Political Forum during its Ministerial Segment. The event runs from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM Eastern Time at United Nations Headquarters, 405 East 42nd Street, New York.
This is not a ribbon-cutting. Everything you will see on July 13 has already been built.
What To Expect
Global launch of the AYVI Network. The formal introduction of AYVI Network as a global platform, serving 2,300+ young Nigerians annually and expanding to all six geopolitical zones through a five-level Growth Cadre system.
Global launch of the African Youth Leadership Fund (AYLF). A dedicated, multi-year financing mechanism designed to channel private, philanthropic, and public capital directly into youth-led development across Africa.
Three high-level panel discussions covering digital innovation for Africa's economic transformation, youth-led solutions for sustainable development, and strategic partnerships for inclusive growth.
Exclusive networking with policymakers, investors, and youth leaders from across Africa and the international development community.
Africa's youth are not a challenge to be managed. They are a force to be equipped, organized, and heard.
The Theme
The Global Youth Forum is anchored by a single, urgent theme: Unlocking Africa's Potential: Harnessing Digital Innovation, Youth-Led Solutions, and Structured Partnerships for Inclusive Economic Growth and Sustainable Futures.
The three panel discussions map directly onto these three pillars. Each panel features speakers drawn from government, the technology sector, civil society, the development community, and international institutions.

SDG Alignment
The Global Youth Forum and the African Youth Leadership Fund are anchored in four Sustainable Development Goals.
SDG 8:DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH
SDG 9: INDUSTRY, INNOVATION & INFRASTRUCTURE
SDG 10: REDUCED INEQUALITIES
SDG: 17: PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS

Why This Moment Matters
Africa has 600 million young people. The frameworks designed to serve them, from Agenda 2030 to decades of aid architecture, were built without them at the table. Youth unemployment is not declining. Digital skills gaps are widening. The financing intended to reach young African-led enterprises has not materialized at scale.
The Global Youth Forum exists to change the design. Not by proposing another program, but by demonstrating an alternative model; one where young Africans are not at the end of a delivery chain, but at the center of the system itself.
AYVI has been proving that model since December 2021. July 13 is the day the world is formally invited in.
